There are so few 10 K events on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Here is one that is for a great cause plus has incredible scenery along the way! This course runs along a beautiful golf course and the scenic Choptank River. Information and Event registration brochure can be found here!

2011 produced a fantastic turnout with record numbers over 2,400 registered to participate in The Ocean City, MD Island 2 Island Half Marathon / 5K Event. As the name implies the half marathon course will run from the Ocean City’s island inlet to Assateague island state park.
POST RACE PARTY HAS BEEN MOVED TO SEACRETS!
The 5k race will have a new start time of 7:45 am as opposed to previous years at 7:30, one hour time limit still applies. The half marathon race will keep its normal 3 hour, 15 minute time limit the same start at 7:00am. Walkers are welcome to both races but remember, anyone who cannot cross finish line within the allotted time will not receive an official time and will be on the course at their own risk. OC Tri-Running Sports reserves the right to cancel or postpone event if climate conditions are at extremes. No refund will be given in this case. Any returned checks will be charged a minimum of $20.00. Any confrontation to staff, medical, volunteers, or other such personnel will not be tolerated and may result in legal actions. The course will be well marked, coned and/or barricaded, but you will still be running on public roads so use extreme caution and pay attention to traffic. It is your responsibility to read and understand all event information that will be given to you. Make sure you understand all safety information. Waivers must be signed before participating in this event.

Outstanding turnout for the 2nd running of the OCMD St. Patty’s Day Boardwalk 5K!
With over 1,000 registered participants the weather cooperated nicely. At race start 9:00 in the morning, 51 degrees with partly cloudy skies, not too bad for Ocean City, MD in mid march. We’d like to thank Shenanigan’s Irish Pub and Grillle and Guiness for helping out with such a fantastic second year event. With good running conditions and a great atmosphere, there were still glitches, conjested finish chute along with chip timing error does call for some solemn bag pipe cries, it just leaves room for exciting improvement for next years race. We do apologize to all runners for the delay with posting race results, the techs are currently working on this error and should have the matter resolved in a few days. You can find some tentative results on the “RESULTS” page and we will continue to update these results until they are complete. OC Tri-Running Sports thanks all the wonderful athletes for their patience and understanding and extreme gratitude to the volunteers that came to help out and support us and Diakonia on this fun filled, exciting holiday!!

GREAT SCENIC COURSE ON A GORGEOUS DAY!! RACE RESULTS ARE UP ON THE RESULTS PAGE!
This year’s race will be held at the Beautiful Hyatt Regency of The Chesapeake Bay! Join the Eastern Shore Hospital Center Auxiliary and the Hyatt Regency top help fight the stigma associated with mental illness. The Race and Family Walk will help raise funds for the direct patient services supported by the E.S.H.C. Auxiliary such as the horticulture therapy program, indigent patient funds, annual art show and other special activities.
