A MESSAGE FROM RACE ORGANIZERS:
The 10 Mile and 5K races will both start at Ocean City Inlet Parking lot. 10 mile race will go off first at 9:00am est. followed by the 5K at 9:15am est.
There is a 2 1/2 hr time limit for the 10 mile race, and a 1 hr 15 min. time limit for the 5k race. Walkers are welcome but anyone who cannot cross finish line within the allotted time will not receive an official time and will be on the course at their own risk. The event will take place rain or shine. OC TriRunning Sports reserves the right to cancel or postpone event if climate conditions are at extremes. No refund will be given in this case.
Any returned checks will be charged a minimum of $20.00.
The course will be well marked, coned and/or barricaded, but you will still be running on public roads so use extreme caution and pay attention to traffic.
It is your responsibility to read and understand all event information that will be given to you. Make sure you understand all safety information.
Waivers must be signed before participating in this event. Any negative confrontation to staff, medical staff, volunteers, or other such personnel will not be tolerated and may result in legal actions. It is the goal of the event organizers to give everyone the most scenic, fun filled course while maintaining safety as a top priority.

RACE PACKET PICKUP
Race packet pickup will be held at the Holiday Inn on 17th st and Boardwalk inside Ocean City, MD.
Times you can pick up your race packet are as follows:
Friday, October 29th from 3:00pm - 8:00pm.
Saturday (race day) October 30th from 7:00am - 8:00am.
YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR OWN PACKET!
Please do not send someone to pick up your packet for you. If you cannot make the Friday pickup then simply arrive early Saturday morning at the starting area to pick up your own race packet there.

CHIP TIMING
This years race will be timed by the IPICO tag timing system. You will receive your chip, along with instructions on how to properly attach it when you check in and pick up your race packet. This style chip must be fastened to your shoe lace. If you place your chip in your pocket it will not be read by the chip sensor readers and you will not get a time. These chips are not disposable and will be collected at the end of your race. There is a $35.00 fee to anyone who does not return their assigned chip, no exceptions. In order to record a correct race please follow these simple guidelines:
Have your chip on race day at the start line, no chip, no time!
Make sure your chip is securely fastened to your shoe.
Do not swap chips with any other runner.
Do not cross start/finish line prior to race start.

“Best Costume” award
Age groups are as follows:
Under 20 * 20 – 29 * 30 – 39 * 40 – 49 * 50 – 59 * 60 – 69 * 70+
You must be a registered participant to qualify for Best Costume award.
Awards ceremony will be held at Start/Finish area inside parking lot.
Awards categories are for both races. Awards will not be mailed out. If you place please stick around for awards ceremony to get your award. No Exceptions!
HOW TO GET THERE
Directions from Baltimore area:
Once on I695 (Baltimore beltway) head south to I97 south.
I97 south to US50 east, cross Bay Bridge, stay on US50 east.
US50 east will take you directly into Ocean City.
Friday race packet pickup location at Holiday Inn on 17th St. and Boardwalk.
Directions from Dover area:
Once on US113 head south into Maryland, continue to US50 east.
US50 east will take you directly into Ocean City.
Friday race packet pickup location at Holiday Inn on 17th St. and Boardwalk.
Directions from Richmond/Norfolk/Virginia Beach area:
Take I264 to I64 east
I64 east to US13 north, through Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, proceed into Maryland.
Once in Maryland, merge onto US113 north to US50 east.
US50 east will take you directly into Ocean City.
Friday race packet pickup location at Holiday Inn on 17th St. and Boardwalk.
Directions from New York/Philadelphia area:
Once on I95 south take Rt. 1 south toward Delaware beaches.
Rt. 1 and US113 merge, stay on US113 south to US50 east.
US50 east will take you directly into Ocean City.
Friday race packet pickup location at Holiday Inn on 17th and Boardwalk.
PARKING
Parking will be available at the Start/Finish area of the race in the OC inlet parking lot located at south 2nd street, Ocean City, MD 21842. This is the off season so parking is free! Once lot is full parking will be limited to alley parking where ever available.

RACE BIBS
Your race number must be securely fastened to the front of your body at the start and all during your race. Make sure your number is clearly displayed. Our course marshals and photographers will need this number to identify you. Your bib comes with a perforated bottom tag, do not remove this tag! These tags will be collected as soon as you cross finish line. The tags assist us with recording your time. Your race bib number is also your ticket to any complimentary post race participant festivities so do not remove, trade or tare your bib once your race is over.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Race day photos will be available for purchase provided by company "to be announced".
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Medical assistance will be available at the Start/Finish area, and key locations along the course. If you cannot finish the race, please head to the nearest medical tent or fluid station for assistance. Let them know you are not able to finish and can help you getting back to the Start/Finish area. As soon as you return, you will need to remove your chip and hand it to a volunteer or staff member. To help aid our medical personnel please fill out any medical history on the back of your race bib. Medical staff can withdraw any participant who they feel is at risk of personal health hazard or safety.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
Bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards, and pets are not allowed on either course during race. Baby joggers are only permitted on 5k course. These rules exist for your safety as well as for others on the course with you. Anyone violating these rules will be immediately escorted off the course and out of the race.
POST RACE PARTY
Post race party will consist of music, awards ceremony, soups, snacks, and beverages, including Maryland's famous crab soup provided by Boogs Barbeque for all registered participants to enjoy and will start soon after first runner of ten mile race comes across finish line.

REFUND / TRANSFER POLICY
All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable for this years event, no exceptions. Once we have received your registration fee and have processed all information all entries are then final.
COURSE MAPS
10 MILE COURSE DESCRIPTION
The 10 mile course will start at inlet parking lot adjacent to the white tran station. The course direction will head north circling the parking lot, back underneath the starting banner, around the carnival pier then onto concrete portion of boardwalk. Runners will remain on this portion of boardwalk until they reach Division St. at the OC Boardwalk arch then will jump onto the wooden planks of the boardwalk still heading north to the end of the boards at 28th st. Runners will then make left turn, pass the tran turnaround station onto Baltimore street then making a right turn onto the bike/bus lane of Coastal Hwy still heading north up to 72nd st. After making a right on 72nd street they will make first left up alley to 73rd st., making another left heading back to Coastal Hwy. Once back on Coastal Hwy, runners will head south taking the same route in reverse heading back to the Finish line where family members and friends will be cheering you on! Don't forget to hang around for some excellent music and post race enjoyment.

5K COURSE DESCIRPTION
This years race 5K race will start at 9:15am at the same location as the 10 mile run. The course direction will head north circling the parking lot, back underneath the starting banner, around the carnival pier then onto concrete portion of boardwalk. Runners will continue heading north on boardwalk, make a turnaround at 13th street, then head back to inlet parking lot to the finish line. After race all runners, family members, and friends are welcome to attend the awards ceremony and post race festivities which will take place at the inlet parking lot.
