5K RACE INFORMATION
Formerly known as the Ravens vs Steelers 5K, we have expanded this years race to include the Washington Redskins. This addition will include Mothers Cantina which is We invite all to come out and support their favorite NFL team by running in their team colors! Race rules will remain the same as past years, you will still need to make a choice, but instead of picking the "Ravens Bar" or the "Steelers Bar" you will simply choose either to support your favorite Sunday football hangout; the "28th St. Pit -n- Pub" or "Buxy's Salty Dog Saloon" or "Mothers Cantina". The 5 kilometer race will start on the OCMD boardwalk at 27th Street at 10:00 am. The top 25 time scores for each restaurant will be added and the fastest time wins the trophy for their establishment and bragging rights for the 2016-2017 football season. RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP
Packet pickup times and locations are:
- Raceday Registration and Day of Packet Pickup will be Saturday, Nov 5th at 27th St. and OCMD boardwalk 8:45am – 9:45am.
AWARDS
This is a "WINNER TAKES ALL!" event, Rival Winners Trophy! Every team member runner will receive an official race time. These times will be accumulated and the top 25 times of each team will be tallied. The team with the fastest time wins the trophy! The winning team gets to carry the trophy to the respective tailgate headquarters (28th Street Pit and Pub, Buxy's Salty Dog Saloon, Mothers Cantina) where it will remain until next year's race. All race finishers will receive a Finishers Ribbon.
BIB TAG TIMING
- This years races will be timed using the IPICO Bib Tag system. There will be an orange rectangular sensor placed on the back of your race bib. Please do not bend or fold your bib and make sure you properly pin your race bib to your shirt front without piercing the sensor. These sensors do not need to be collected, when your race is finished you are free to keep the sensor along with your race bib. Your race bib is unique to you so please do not trade or give your bib to anyone else.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
Bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards and pets are not allowed on either course during the race(s). Baby joggers are only permitted on the 5K course. These rules are for your safety as well as others on the course with you. Anyone violating these rules will be immediately escorted off the course and out of the race.
REFUND / TRANSFER POLICY
- There are no refunds or transfers accepted for this years race.
